Whats the best tire?

It seems as if the majority of the tires are priced similar, I was recommended Yokohama S-Drive, Nitto Invos, Hankook Ventus V12s, Potenza RE11 and Continental Extreme Contact DWS. However,

However, I've never really had much knowledge on tires and don't know what is best. Are there particular brands or tires that are recommended or is it all personal preference?
