Anyone running the TOYO 305/ZR19 PXR888 and experiences with 305 on Nismo rims

Gents, I was offered a set of Toyo 305ZR19 tires at retailer discount from one of my contacts. What are the personal experiences of peers running on Toyo tires? Performance/Thread life/Quality inputs would be appreciated.

Probably not the greatest tire to run on the street. Depends on your goals though...
With the way you drive bert....you may need them though

no kidding Dan, my Advan tire blew up on me yesterday. Those Proxy R888 I'm told have great grip and are better than the Advan hence the question

I guess I need to fly slower huh?

Big beef I have with them is they take a long time to warm up--usually 60 seconds or more of hard driving. Also not sure how they are in the rain.
I think tread life expectancy is low as well.

Can post up some more info when I'm not posting from my phone...

I have used them for about 1 year and half on my other cars. They are really good track tires. But they don't last long though, either track or streets. About 6k miles on streets normally, or 8k miles if you drive like a grandma. Not street friendly either, very noise. So basically, if you don't track, they don't worth the try even if they are free.

Stillen's model car had it. They look sick, they recommend it for tracking, not for streets. Not only that, for highway use they're hitting the barely street legal type.

WWJD/Karotz, thanks very much guys. I guess I'll buy another set of Advan since it appears that the Toyo wouldn't be too practical for regular smoke'em, flying to the moon driving.

4K thread life is really nothing. Very much welcomed info from all, both repped as well.

You are welcome sir. You might wanna check out Michellin Pilot Super Sport - I heard it's grip is just ridiculous. Not pocket friendy though, but I'm starting to hear a lot of good things about it. Great grip and thread life overall. Other than that, most folks including myself are debating to get either Hankook V12s (great for DD), Nitto NT05 or Invo (great thread design and track use).

Get AD08 if you want more dry performance.
Get Re11 if your area rains often.
Get RS3 if you want more grip than tire feedback.
These are about the best street tires.

Good stuff. I don't DD the car, hardly ever drive in rain. A blend of tire performance + good thread life would definitely suffice for me. I was aware of the Michellin Pilot excellent reputation but I would probably go that route once it's time to replace all the tires. I'm hoping the info you shared on the thread would also come in handy to anyone else with a tire purchase question. Great info!

I have them on my Z. LOVE them, I only drive in the summer tho on nice days, I have driven a couple times in the rain cause I got stuck, but drove VERY slow and cautiously. So if you drive you Z like I do, I strongly encourage you getting them, SO much grip, hardly ANY tire spin, which means all my power is going to the pavement. Hope this helps!
