Reset TPMS Warning By Yourself For FREE!!!

I saw this on a G37 site and since I put new wheels & tpms I figured I would give it a shot and it worked on the first try.I have not seen or heard anybody talk about this but it beats going to the dealer.

Step 1: Set the tires to the following pressures,

Tire position Tire pressure (psi)
Front LH (34)
Front RH (31)
Rear RH (29)
Rear LH (26)

Step 2: Locate the TPMS interface plug. This is a white female plug that is attached to the OBD II wire loom under the dash right about where your left knee would be when sitting in the driver's seat. You may have to cut the tape that is holding the TPMS interface plug to the OBD II wire loom.

Step 3: Attach a paper clip or wire into the interface plug.

Step 4: Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the last click before the engine starts. This is the KOEO position (Key On, Engine Off).

Step 5: Tap the end of the paper clip (the end NOT in the interface plug, duh!) on any exposed ground (metal) 5 times.

Step 6: If you completed step 5 then the TPMS warning light will start to slowly flash and you have activated the TPMS relearn process. If it flashes fast or solid that's not right. If yours isn't flashing slowly then check your connections, turn the ignition off and start over at step 4.

Note: if you're having trouble getting it into the relearn mode, try grounding the connector, turn the car on, then turn the car off while still grounding it. Then repeat the above steps.

Step 7: Once you confirm the lights do not stop flashing, step on the clutch/brake and start the car. Do not turn the car to OFF position. Start driving >25mph until the light goes out. It could take as long as ten minutes.

Step 8: The light will quickly come back on due to the low tire pressures. Refill your tires to the correct pressure.

I been using our search button and couldn't find any good info so I Googled it and that is what I found.

Plus it is good to put it back up seeing we have allot of new members.

have u done this? does it work? i just swapped out my winter wheel set with my oem's and the light is on.

It's not that high. The recommended tire pressure is around 36 psi.

Can someone confirm that this works on a 12' 370? I don't know if they changed something underneath there but I have searched high and low for this plug for the past 45 minutes and have found nothing remotely close. I followed the entire loom from the OBD2 port. Any insight?

It is kind of hidden right behind the OBD2 port,I mean right behind it, I had to take the 2 screws out that hold the OBD2 connector.

is there a way to just make it turn off? like pull a fuse or something... when i swapped wheels... my tpms went with it... so i check my pressure every so often.... but that light irritates me to hell lol

Has anyone been able to track down the reset plug on 2012s yet? I have a 2011 and could not find the one mentioned in the service manuals. I even checked the BCS section of the manual didn't see a wire coming out of connector M123 pin 149 from the BCS. I would love to kill that flashing light!!!
