Tire pressure warning light

No sure if the spare has a TPMS also. But the light should not come on that often unless you have a nail or screw in the tire that you haven't notice or maybe a slow leak from some other source.

Most of the time the change in temperature has to be significant and the car not been driven in a while for this to happen.

I'm pretty sure the spare has a TPMS sensor; at least the last three cars I've owned had them, including my son's Tacoma. It would be worth a quick check.

Ambient temp can drive you crazy as well.

my 09 does not have one for the spare. i know cause i pressure it up every Fall to 60psi and it was just a rubber valve.
