The Straight Dope: Is it better to fill your tires with nitrogen instead of air?

Sorry, but that is not true.
All gases follow the gas laws.
Nitrogen is very nearly an ideal gas, so it follows PV = nRT,
so P = nRT/V.

I was told there would be no mat....physics. :bowrofl:

Mine used to come on everyday on the drive to and from work at about the 20 minute mark even though the TP was just fine. 15,000 mile checkup comes I go to dealer, driving back and forth to work for about a week afterwards noticed wow, I haven't seen the light come on. Haven't seen it since, been over a month now. They must have done something.

My 11 Roadster has been in storage for a few months and when I went to move it the TPMS light was on. The car only has 600 miles on it and Nitrogen straight from the dealer. Tires look fine and hard as a rock to the touch. Not gonna worry about it for now...
