Wheels for GT Spec

Hi all, Is there any power lost if I upgrade my wheels from original size 19" to 20"?

Question Wheels for GT Spec

Hi all, Is there any power lost if I upgrade my wheels from original size 19" to 20"?

Larger wheels will be heavier and have more weight further from the hub, requiring more energy to stop and start due to increased rotational mass. If you aren't into spirited driving, you likely won't notice a difference. However, it is not ideal for performance driving.

In my opinion, 19 inch wheels are the perfect balance between performance and looks for this car.

Thank you for your prompt reply and advice. If hapen upgrading to a 8psi boost supercharge would they be any different? Though of installing one in the future 

Even if you're looking to add power with boost, again the negative effect might not be extremely noticeable... But then, why add power just to lose some of it again to more rotational mass. It's like trying to do a drag race with your chute already deployed...

If you want more 'go' then stick with 19's or even 18's.

If you want more 'show' then go with what makes you happy.

Hey thanks for the advice. Appreciate it a lot! Current setup on may car: hks exhaust system. Hks intake, hks iridium spark plugs and blitz throttle control. Please advise me if possible for the next upgrade. Thanks again!
