thats badazz bro, love the setup!!

MightyBobo 05-02-2009 09:03 PM

Now THAT is a bitchin' looking setup man. I like those wheels, they mesh with the car VERY well.

zman1910 05-02-2009 10:37 PM

That looks fabulous!

AK370Z 05-03-2009 12:58 AM

That looks SWEET! Excellent job, Danny! How does the new suspension feel?

DannyGT 05-03-2009 07:36 AM

Feels better than teins on the scooby and virtually identical to my friends kw v3 on his rs4...

Other than a really bumpy road during high speeds you almost forget you have an after market suspension. Very very smooth. It's definitly stiffer, however it just rebounds so cleanly that it makes for a smooth ride.

Very good to hear. I had Tein Flex on my STi before I got this car and I am going to install my BR series coilovers soon. Your Z looks great. Those wheels fit the car perfect.

oh man....that picture surely changes my mind out the dark grey on the 370!
sexy

racerxj17 05-05-2009 08:18 PM

what offsets did you go with? it looks perfect!!

DannyGT 05-05-2009 08:30 PM

Its +22 all around...

Its actually VERY aggressive up front and just perfect in the rear. The car was lower than in the pictures and with the 275s up front I was rubbing. So I raised it to what you see and its great!

The thing is, I REALLY love these wheels, so I was willing to try the +22 all around. I would have gone with a slightly higher offset if they offered it but they dont.

Also I heard alot of the 350Z's were using a similar setup for aggressive road coarse/auto x/ time attack/ etc and that it worked wonders..

Additionally, what I noticed is the 275s sit taller than when they were in the rears and I know thats a huge factor. With an offset this aggressive I might (after these wear out) go with a 265 so it lowers the overall height of the tire. I did ALOT of calculations before going with this combo and everything says the wheel heights between the front and rear would be nearly identical but you can NEVER be sure because even if you have the same profile, tire A can be .25 taller than tire B... So what ended up happening is the 275s buldged up a bit more than we anticipated when put on a 9.5 inch rim compared to when they were in the rear on a 10 inch rim. So the front is slightly taller than the rear. Which is why, once these burn out, I'll probably go down to a 265 just to be on the safe side. But its really not that big of a deal!

racerxj17 05-06-2009 07:17 PM

so it you hit a hard corner, can you get it to rub up front? whats a set of wheels like that go for?

Zerafian 05-06-2009 08:37 PM

your camber looks pretty crazy...I like it..

Looks good i got these on my maxima. way better then stock. yours came out the box like that? Mines came completely put together.

FuszNissan 05-10-2009 02:38 AM

Wow that is hot!

ChrisSlicks 05-10-2009 08:39 AM

Just use a different tire that doesn't bulge as much. The RE-11's don't seem to bulge with a 275 on a 9" rim, and from what I've seen Toyo R888's look pretty flat as well. You could also shorten the tire by reducing profile, but you're probably already about as low as you can go.

huh? The rear suspension on the Z is a seperate spring and shock so mine is also completly put together too.

Chris - I was actually a little suprised how the 275 buldged up. The 305 in the rear is completly flat. Ya I might end up doing the 265 just to be safe.
