H&R 20mm DRM Spacer re-torque
I installed 20mm DRM spacers all around today. After driving about thirty miles I checked the wheel lug torque and found that several of the nuts required as much as a full turn to bring them back to 85 pounds. I will pull the wheels tomorrow and check the torque on the spacer nuts. Has anyone else had this experience? How many re-torques are needed before full compression is achieved? This seemed excessive to me.

I use loctite blue on the spacer lugs and let it dry over night. At 85lbs it shouldn't back out that much. Get ure torque wrench caliberated.

Yes, this has happened to some before.

I just got an alignment done after installing swifts, 20mm DRS front, and 25mm DRM rear. the technician said that the DRM spacers in the rear were loose. How many times should i be checking these. I'm afraid now, maybe i should have went with DRS in the rear as well

Spacers
I tourqued twice and never had a problem again on my 350. I took them off of my 370 because the factory lugs were hitting the inside of the spacer and would not make full contact. You might want to pull one off and inspect the inside aNd see if you are experiencing a similar issue.

Alejo- without loctite it can take up to 3-4cycles...even more if you used some sort of lube or antiseize.
Just clean it, use loctite blue and 80-85lbs. And be done with it. |
