Default ad08 or re11

Hello guys,

I know there have been a million threads on tires but do to my inability to find a suitable thread im throwing this out there ( pardon the searching ignorance).

After lots of track days my tires are done and want to upgrade to either re11 or ad08. I want to rid of under-steer that the car has with the stock setup ( i have the sports package).

For the re11 I am wondering what setup would be the best would running 275 square be the best bet? or run 275 fr and 285 rear?

If I can find a better price on the ad08s ( likely here in canada) I would use those as well, the tire sizes are limited and I am thinking of running 265 squared or a 265 295 combo, the latter I'm not sure if this will help eliminate understeer as it is still running the same stagger.

any advice would be greatly appreciated,

thanks in advance

If your goal is to eliminate the understeer and track, run 285/35/19 all around. As far as which compound, it's like debating between Kim Kardashian or Jennifer Aniston

From my bias view, I would love to say RE11 is Kim since I have it

285 square sounds great for the track but do you notice any tramlining when driving on the highway? In addition as I am new to the tire buying game what sidewall height should I get on both the front and the rear?

285 all around your car will def track the road. i run 285 all around for the track and ill usually put them on the car a couple days before just to make sure they are still balanced and what not. the car LOVES to pull. i let my buddy drive it around a parking lot and he tried convincing me my alignment was off. you have to be very alert w 285 on the front.

As for sidewall, are these going on the stock sport or base wheels?

These will go on 19 inch sport rims, so the 9 inch front rim should be able to handle the 285 width tire?. Is the pulling that bad that it makes driving difficult? The roads here in Quebec are bad so just want to make sure it's safe to drive.

its the tire compound that is causing it, thats what r comps do on the road

i ran 265 last year, it really makes no difference as far as highway drives, maybe more road noise. i would look into putting more toe in if thats what you are concerned about. i had my alignment done at 8k and i found my toe to be out. car drove loads better after.
