Default Please help my Lug Nuts Decision!

Hi guys,

Asking for a little help here..

I'm on the group buy for the special order of custom-colored TE37SL's. I ordered them in matte black. In preparation for the arrival of the wheels, I wanna get a set of lug nuts but can't decide whether to go with red or black lugs..

I have a solid red Z and I'm not sure if there would be a difference in the tones of red between the car's body + TE37SL decals + red lugs.. Would this be too much?

I could get red lugs but leave the wheels without decals? Put decals on and use black lugs?

Please vote and comment and your help is appreciated.. Also, if anyone is willing to photoshop for the sake of visual aids, that would be AWESOME!

Thanks again!

Why buy limited edition wheels without showing off the decals? Come on now!

We have a bunch of lug nuts, but I'd run these if I were you

KICS Bullocks and Nut set M12x1.25 Black

The bullocks are excellent for theft protection. No 2 sets use the same key!

I kind of like the contrast of red lugs with black wheels. If you go this route you just need to find some that aren't going to fade or look pink after some time.

I agree with the contrast, I think I would like it.. However, I'm just worried, as I mentioned before, about the difference in tones of red between the car's body, TE37SL decals, and the color of the lugs.. Also, I'm not sure if it would look like too much..

Any suggestions on red lugs that wouldn't fade or look pink after a while..??

if you use an impact gun they will break pretty easily..but that can be said on most duraluminum lugs. i use 80-85lbs. no issue on mine.

i have a spare 4pcs set just in case.

as for scratches they all scratch pretty easily... just be 10x gentle with them i guess vs regular nickel plated lugs.

Somewhere on this forum there's a red Z & TE37SL with the red decals and it looks good. I just couldn't find it short notice. Maybe you can hold off on the lugs til after you get the wheels? When i got my TE37s, they came with generic silver lugs. So you could use those while you compare the colors? But i'd go with the black lugs.

Red lugs after awhile will turn pink no matter what the brand it is bound to happen.

Stick with black Muteki lugs and the decals ON
