Locking Lug Nuts?

I have a new set of wheels arriving this week and and need to pick up a set of locking lug nuts as I don't think the OEM set will work. What are some good options short of the Volks?(kinda pricey for me).

Thanks!

Project Kic's (Spelling? ) Are really good.

Drop engineering extended lugs :)

Locking lug nuts aren't going to stop someone that really wants your wheels. Even the most inexperienced thief knows how to defeat them. They will slow a thief down, or make him look for an easier target though.

I'd suggest buying 2 sets of locks, and using 1 from each set on each wheel if you're truly concerned with theft. KICS are great, as well as Muteki. McGard and Gorilla make a good product, but they're more widely distributed. The problem with that is that in my opinion, a thief is more likely to have a key that fits.

The KICS Bullocks are immune to that problem, because each set uses a random spline placement.

Here's just the locks: KICS Bullocks 12Mx1.25 Closed Wheel Locks Black

And here's the full set: KICS Bullocks and Nut set M12x1.25 Black

Like I said, no wheel lock is going to stop a determined thief but it will slow them down. 2 lock per wheel is enough to make most people walk away. Unless you've got super baller wheels and leave your car over night in the ghetto, you should be fine.

Gorilla "the system" don't get the tuner/acorn ones each lug is a lock and you they're steel so they'll last forever(not really but you get the point) You can get them on amazon for $40-$50

get 20 different locks to really confuse the hell out of the theif... (and yourself).

One will come lose and you will lose the key, then there will be a post about not being able to change tires. Waste of money.

Waking up to my car on bricks would suck in my opinion... Better safe than sorry!

I'd rather spend the $100 on wheel locks than replacing a set of wheels.

I would rather not drive around to places where my wheels would get stolen.

Thieves have cars, and most thieves know that it's a waste of time to steal from the ghetto. A friend of mine recently woke up to his Chevy Silverado on bricks in a nice neighborhood. They took his STOCK wheels! I had a Civic stolen, and the only nice thing on it was a set of Works. If you've never been the target of theft, then you're in the minority and I hope that your good fortune continues. I haven't been so lucky.

^^ yikes... :(

while locks do give false sense of security they are better than not having any locks. but if i really needed security i would get a tilt sensor instead.

Most theives also aren't stupid enough to run around a nice safe neighborhood, they will stick out like a sore thumb. I also don't put things in my car or have cars that are worth reselling.

Yeah, like I said originally... Any thief can get through a set of wheel locks. It's just an added obstacle that will (hopefully) make them move onto an easier target. A tilt sensor is definitely great, but on cars like 240SX and Hondas, an alarm is very easy to defeat.
