Stretched tires
Hi I was wondering how stretched tires work. I am trying to go flush on my car but not really sure how to do that. I like that kind of style. Can you race with stretched tires or it it just for show? because I want my car to be for the mountains but at the same time for show. please help me im still new to this stuff. Thanks

Not sure what your asking. Do you want wider tires?
If you want this look, basically you would need a wider wheel with a narrower tire. http://g35driver.com/forums/attachme...94815_9421.jpg Looks stupid IMO, but that's just me. If you want the wheels to sit flush with the fenders, you need a wheel with the right offset or install spacers. |
Stretched is for show...will ride and handle poorly.

You could do a really mild stretch and still perform okay. Like a 275 on a 10.5 wheel..but it will look retarded if your car isn't dropped Alot IMO..
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/...b126b4ffae.jpg 275 on a 10.5"^ This is pretty stretched...But it's all for looks. Not performance. So, what's more important to you is the question. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...rnie_gtr_7.jpg |

We ran into some morons with hella flush VWs and Audis on "The Dragon" at ZDayZ. They had to pull over because their tires couldn't handle it. |

you can stretch the tires wider, they do that a lot for autox due to class restrain, probably not the safest in the long run

Wow, so much hate for pokey pokey over here

I don't care for the style personally, but I don't care if that's what people want to do with the car. It's their car, their money. |
