Need help with running up front
Title should say rubbing...
I just got my te37s on. Front tire is a 265 35 19. Offset is 22mm. I know it's hard to visualize without pics so instead so my question is more geared toward correction rather than fitment. With the drop I had on my 20's (245 35 20 18mm offset) I was tucking into the fender. I'd only rub at extreme cases. Now with the same drop, I looked much more aggressive with fitment. So to test I set my dampening to full stiff up front and drove. Sadly it rubbed on even slight heaves in the road. What I think I want to do first before raising the car, is move the clips that retain the fender liner. As I've heard this is a successful solution for some. Honestly Id just be doing and finding out, not posting, but it's raining and I'm bored so I figured I'd get some input to maybe prepare myself for the task. Are these clips bolted in or do I cut them? I haven't looked yet. Has anyone had good luck rolling their fenders? I don't feel I'm really THAT low, and I'm kinda sadened about raising the car idea. There are pics in my album with my gtc's on if you want to see how low I am. Last edited by TBOX; 06-24-2011 at 09:42 AM. Reason: Stupid iPad autocorrect |

I sized up +22 with a 275 and it cleared but needed about 3.0 degrees of camber. If your just rubbing on the clips then those will eventually rub off Rolling the front shouldn't be a problem either if that is the issue.

I've never rolled a fender, but I think it's something I can handle. |

I'm an inch lower now than in my pics. For racing I run 18 +32 and there is a small gap between the wheel and the fender up front with 3.5 degrees of camber and 315mm tire.
If you are slammed with small offsets then rubbing is always going to be an issue, just find the obstruction and deal with it.
