hello all, so this is my situation right now, i recently had volk gt30's installed, but i did not install the tire sensors in the wheels, anyways as i expected the tire pressure light turned on after sometime as a result of me not installing the tire sensors, so im driving for the whole day and all is good only the tire pressure light is showing.
So the next day i take my car to the work shop to have the 15mm spacers that i already have installed on the car from before removed and the original studs fixed back in the front. so when i went to pick my car up after the spacers were removed and the original studs have been fixed, i turn on my car and the abs slip control and traction control lights all came on, now i dont know if this is a result of the sensors not being installed, or maybe the shop i had the spacers removed at damaged something while installing the new studs or maybe it just needs a restart, please guys i need your help has anything like this ever happened to any of you, any help will be much appreciated ![]() |

Sounds like one of the wheel speed sensors got damaged when they were replacing the studs. You will see the wire coming down near the brake hose and it is held in the control arm by a little 10mm bolt.
Don't worry about the TPMS sensors, has no effect other than the flashing light.

If the sensor wire is damaged then it needs to be replaced. You can see if it is throwing a code to see if that is what it is. If you turn the front wheels all the way left or right you might be able to see the wire without taking the wheel off.

Not the 10mm bolt that was on your brake rotor, you can take that off. In behind the brake rotor and caliper is where the wheel speed sensor attaches to the hub. The sensor is plastic and held by a 10mm bolt. There should have been no reason to touch it but someone may have hit it inadvertently.

The one on the rotor I think is a 12mm, it is pretty easy to remove, shouldn't even need to step on the brake if you have enough leverage.

Or they did some crazy donuts in your car before giving it to. Only time i had all the lights go off was from doing some spirited drifting. LOL

That resets automatically though and only turns on the slip light and VDC light, not the ABS light.

They all went on for me.... I'm talking brake light the SRM went off the gear indicator shut off the airbag lights. It just happened yesterday, thats why it still fresh in my head. Also shutting it off and on did nothing I had to let it sit for a minute off.

You can reset with a scanner if you have it, but otherwise the battery trick is worth a shot.

I already tried that but it didn't work, maybe I should take it to the dealership and have them trouble shoot it I just hope no damage is done to the sensors and that it just needs a ecu reset or something
