Spacers/Springs question

:happydance:I want an agressive look with a slight poke. What spacers would I need if I go with a 20x 8.5 with a 40 offset on all four corners?? I don't track so im not concerned with the pros and cons with that. What spacers would I need in the front/back? I was thinking 20 fr and 25 rr. or would I need a 10 or 15 in the front?

Also if someone could tell me some springs that I could buy that would give me a mild drop I would appreciate it. I just cancelled my order on the Swift R's because they are taking too long and also I think the drop is too low for me....

First get wider wheels for the back at least. 8.5 is like a fwd car width. Lol

:iagree: 8 in width is too small and 40 offset is high to be flush or poke. those specs are for fwd car definitely. get wider rims and lower offsets then get some spacers.

Get wheels with proper widths and offsets and NO spacers, is the proper way to do it.

so what offsets would give me a poke without spacers? The lower the offset number the more they poke? So a 35 offset pokes more than a 40? I am sure I am not sounding too bright.... I do appreciate the help.

It depends on the widths you want to run.

If you want to run a square setup, I would run 9's or 9.5's all the way around. I would purchase them with +35 offsets, and run a 20mm spacer in the rear. This would give you an effective offset of +15 in the back.

Now, if you actually want poke (which I probably wouldn't recommend), you will want to go more aggressive. On a 9.5, I think around +15 is where you start to poke up front. I think you'd need to go negative to poke in the rear with a 9.5.

Red_Zed I told Kami speed to cancel my order on the swift r springs he told me it will be another two to three weeks ( its already been three weeks). I also looked at your car and Jons and I think its a bit too low for me. What springs can I buy that will give me a bout a 3/4 drop?

If you want a slight poke, I'm running 18x10 +15 all around with a 30mm spacer in the rear. Do the math and that leaves me with a 10" width and -15 offset in the rear effectively. That should be good enough for you.

The Eibachs are a bit more mild of a drop. Worth looking into those if you don't want to drop as much.
