Tires sizes and vcd

I've ran the numbers thru the calculator to verify my speedo won't be too drastically off. But will 245 35 20 and 305 25 20 cause any problems? I purchased

I've ran the numbers thru the calculator to verify my speedo won't be too drastically off. But will 245 35 20 and 305 25 20 cause any problems?

I purchased the 305s for my rear but I'll replace fronts as well if I need to get a better size.

I'm thinking more diameters throwing it off. I haven't heard of anything that's effected by tire stagger.

I guess the better question is, does anyone know what the tolerance is for the vdc for wheel ratios.
Stock is 1.01 this setup is 1.028

Well I guess I'll find out, the 305's are getting put on right now. If they look goofy compared to the front or the car acts up I'll just have to get 255 30 20's for the fronts.

you have more grip in the rear than front, there is a good chance the vdc will keep kicking on in the middle of the turn, but then you can always hit the off button

Normally you want to keep the diameters within 2% to keep VDC happy, see how it goes.

245 vs 305 is twice the recommended stagger, expect substantial understeer.

I'm not concerned with understeer at the moment. I'm dropping from 315 to 305.

So what do you think would be the ideal setup for the front? 255 30 20 or 265 30 20? I'd try something even wider but I've got an 18et offset and I'm worried about rub at that point.

chances are that with the crappy tire (not sure of many quality street tire in that size unless you have an exotic), the stagger wont do much with the vdc

VDC doesn't like grippy tires. I am assuming you are running an average tire given the size, so you might get lucky and be able to avoid it.

Well ran into a bigger problem. The shop can't get my car on any of their lifts... It's only lowered like an inch but they are saying the HKS exhaust flanges scrape when they go to drive it up on the alignment rack.


So I either have the raise the car or find someone smart enough to jack the car up and then slide the arms under.
