Mounting and Dismounting tires. Bad for tires?
 

Does mounting and dismounting tires weaken the beads?

I had my wheels painted, however they will need to be touched up every couple of months, and I was wondering how bad it is for the tires/wheels to be mounted and dismounted that often.

I needed the face black and the lips yellow, so powdercoating wasnt an option, seeing as some shops told me it was impossible to two tone powdercoat, while others said it would be $200+ per wheel for a dual powdercoat job.

I could touch them up myself i suppose w/o removing the tires, however with such aggressivley painted wheels, the paint needs to look proffesional, or the car will look like sh1t. Does a shop need to even remove the tires to just touch up the lips of the wheels?

no experience with yellow wheels... so no idea.

im not sure how many cycles tires can be mounted. i would not do any more than 3-4 times. just feels like it weakens the tire after that but no scientific data.

They should not need to dismount them to touch them up.

I would not remove them that frequently. Mistakes are bound to happen.

ive wondered the same thing when iwas getting one patched. id say 2 or 3 times but after that no more.
