Rick did mentioned about giving me some parts for free for patiently waiting for the wheels...that was kind of him to do this & i thanked him for that.... but that was 4 months ago when he offered me some CF parts for free... When asked last month about it, only then he said the parts are still in the molding stages & will ship it after the wheels.. I hope he's keeping his word on that as well..... If ur reading this Rick, give me an update as well... Thanks

Sue the company...get your money back and this forum should ban any1 involved with VIP for scamming people...they are running the same scam as 360 forged...taking money and orders and not producing...using the money to most likely pay off personal **** and waiting on another order to pay off the first one.

Thanks frost. I agree with you 100%. Threads gets closed because members takes the opportunity and start bashing the vendor or just puts their comments in where they are not necessary etc. My car is bone stock. I have no affiliation with any vendor(s). Any mod on my car are paid for via my own fund. I keep it this way so that I have 0 affiliation with vendors and I can stay neutral. So, if anyone think otherwise, then I have no answer for them.

Unless your name ends with @VIP Status, there no need for you put any cents in any vendors thread. He (Rick) needs to make a thread and announce that you (jamaica) are his spokesperson. THIS goes for all the vendors here at the forum as well. If there's vendor being discussed, please don't try to put your two cents. No vendor likes another vendor posting in their thread.

I really hope everyone get their stuff. Rick had a pretty good reputation in our thread and he usually stands by (stood by his products in past) his stuff. Hopefully we will hear from him soon.

Here's my experience with VIP
 
This was my last PM sent to Rick. On his behalf, he did offer me a discount for my patience. However, I asked again for a ETA on the 16th and have heard nothing since. I was intending to keep this private but I am getting nowhere. I paid half cost up front at the time of order.

This is just crazy now. Just tell me why it is absolutely impossible for you to locate, track and supply me with a delivery date on my wheels. These are four round pieces of metal, not the space shuttle. These things were ordered 5 months ago, there is no reason for this amount of time and no excuse for you being unable or unwilling to supply me with a ETA. Any order that was placed and paid for should be able to be tracked. Scroll down this PM and read your previous responses to me and ask me why I should not be disappointed or angry. I have kept this private between you and me but I am ready to explode. I need a answer here, and I would still like to receive my wheels.

Thanks man!! I hope everything works out! I went through this also and almost flew out at one point. But Rick eventually made things right with some other products discounted. I'm not sure if over seas is causing a longer delay or that there has been a change in the production of the wheels. (From what I've heard)

wheels are usually in the water for 30 days...i dont see how it will take longer than 2-3 months to make/build/ship to america/ship to owner will take 6+ months.

Rick has not logged in for 5 days now :( i know he's busy onto moving to a new place, but that does not give him reason to neglect his customers.... Poor Us, Its a shame, Begging for something that we paid for...

I agree. There is absolutely no reason a company should neglect it's customers. Especially for months at a time. I could understand not getting a hold of someone once a month or so but there should always be someone delegated to customer service.

I was told I would recieve a partial refund on my kit I ordered (11/2/10) since I had told him to cancel the order on 3/15/11. I did wind up eventually getting the kit on 4/5/11 but the weave of the CF was messed up so I had to paint it. No way i was sending it back to get it replaced after waiting 5 months though, I just figured Id use that refund money to cover part of the paint bill. Well I still havent gotten the refund even after being told it was being sent numerous times.

My friend is on the same boat as you. He's still waiting on the partial refund they agreed upon a while back but nothing yet.

Question. Why don't you guys just cancel your orders demand a refund and actually do something about it? I mean, if I was in this situation, I would do everything possible to get my money back whether that involves getting a lawsuit, police, the better business bureau ect. I simply would not stand for this. I know damn well these wheels are not cheap and especially not the final transaction price.

I guess I don't know how many actually have already paid this "Rick", other then those noted above, but, if you have, it's definitely not looking good or sounds like it will get better from what I have been reading on here and other forums.

I mean if everyone who is in this same "boat" files a complaint with BBB or another resource, that definitely going to raises a few red flags and get sh!t moving. It definitely doesn't look like complaining on here is doing any justice.

I'm getting frustrated just reading about everyone's problem with this company! Haha :D. Just wanted to help. Hope everything turns out for everyone!

And obviously there's plenty of other reliable companies on here that sell sick wheels. Not just VIP.

I also think this thread should be stickied.

Just my 2cents

Due to the false date(s) given by Rick time and time again gives them a glimmer of hope that their wheels/refund will be there soon so that their long wait wouldn't be wasted.... that's how it dragged on for so long.

Also, with Rick's good reputation and success over the years into account plus members telling you to wait, he will deliver and some saying cancel your order now is pretty hard to decide.

Up until now, I think everyone is ready to pull the plug on this if they're able to get their money back.

Don't get me wrong... Rick is a good guy when you actually talk to him. It's either he has this crazy cool aura that makes you want to believe in him or that he is a Jedi playing mind tricks with our heads. He was in no way a **** to us or anything... he just wasn't there when we needed him. Especially when it's our $4k+ on the line...

he has concluded bills of sale with us, he is to be followed obliged this. this deals generally nothing with the friendliness of a person.

I have spoken with rick also very friendly, he is always friendly.:tiphat:
but I can buy nothing to myself from friendliness and I do not find with more than 4000$ it simply any more laughing to.:shakes head:

Spoke with him last week ...
 
I was going to order Spirits from him and s/w him last week; he also advised me of a 60 day delivery timeframe for the wheels ... just fyi.

I just tried to call him back yesterday to actually place the order and got a voicemail telling me NOT to leave a message. ??? A customer wants to place a $5,000.00 order and you don't have someone answering your phones ? ... returning calls to prospective customers ? ...

I'm glad I came across this thread because I haven't ordered yet. Hoping Rick jumps on here in his defense and there's resolution for the existing customers. I'm a little more than hesitant now.

As far as I know Paypal doesnt cater any dispute after 60 days or so?

I still hope it works out for all the guys waiting. Just to see maybe you guys can pm another Work dealer here through whom i got mine last week the exact timeline required for your ordered offsets. As I contacted them in April they said they have something coming in may and then in May it was there and I bought it.

Well ... after digesting all of the above, I went with the Work Gnosis GS-2 instead. Pretty much the same / similar wheel, I think? Any thoughts on this ? Any GS-2 owners out there ... pics ?

I really wanted the Venaci Spirit, but there's just too much doubt as to the time frame in getting the wheels back once they're ordered. I spoke with Rick and shared emails with him, and he seems like a great guy; but I just can't get past all of the posts on here regarding the ongoing issues. 4,5, 6 or even up to 8 months delivery is a non-starter for me.
