Tire size for my wheels...

I was told you couldn't go bigger than 245/265 on the stock 18's. Wouldn't it be easier to use a spacer to get the right look than trying to do it all with the tire?

I'm not talking about a tire for the 18's, I've got 19'' Forgestars on order. I think I've decided on 305/30/19 for the rear, and 265/35/19 for the front.
