yah, that's what i like about these. they are 4-5lbs lighter than the RE050's and from wat mr.onzedge's posted, not soft sidewall like my conti DW's. the DW's are significantly lighter than RE050's too.

next on my list for sure.... trying to source my next wheels to wrap them in.. :p

Question from a tire noob. Everyone is raving about this tire but doesn't it have a lower traction rating compared to stock? How does that work? I'm not doubting that this tire is showing better real life results but how is it that our stock tires appear so much better on paper but suck compared to these tires? Just want to try to understand.

Wear/traction ratings are not really comparable across brands. Even across individual manufacturers sometimes.

^^ +1 i suppose between (example) 160AA vs 360AA we can assume there is longer wear on the 360AA, but there's really no scientific data to prove how it does against each other, i dont think.

PSS Tire Noise
 

Does the tire noise significantly increase as these tires wear? H
How many miles can one expect as a daily driven 370Z? I am getting approx. 18K miles on the stock tires before the rear tires have to be replaced.

I have over 3k on my and they are much quieter then the stock sport tires.

My first full year was great, but in my second year (as of May) the tire noise has increased. Most of the increased tire noise is typically on concrete highways. if the highway is asphalt, it's still fairly quiet. Some of it is likely me, as I wasn't driving very much for about 6 months during an unemployed stint; and wasn't getting out much to avoid the gas costs. Based on the tread life rating, I was hoping to get three full years out of these tires. However, based on my current tread I seriously doubt that these tires will last three years. two full years is probably what I will get out of them (and what I got from the stock tires)...we shall see.

Ive had these tires for 5 months or so..Is it me or does it feel unstable when youre going into a corner on uneven pavement? There were a few times when I felt the car was starting to slide and the traction control turned on. It's not like I was darting into the corner and the road was not wet. Is it the tires or the car?

255/295, sports package, auto

Mine due tend to have a slight sponginess to them when corning hard but never has my traction control turned on; they still corner great though. Perhaps for you, it's also the slight increase in width you went with?

Just check with the tire shop,PSS don't make 285/35-19 size.
