Wheel Offset Discussion Thread... How far can we go?

the offset doesn't really affect the caliper clearance, its the style of the face and the thickness of the hub mounting surface.

The thickness/length of the hub mounting surface is dictated by the wheel offset...

this thread just helped me a ton... with my rear camber kit I'm now pretty sure I can order the 10mm spacer for the rear on the new wheels I am getting that are:

19x9.5 +17
19x10.5 +18

Going with 245/40/19 up front and this sits very flush if not a "smidge" more than I'd like and 10mm in rear should even out the wheels so it looks like it should.. 10mm spacer essentially turning the offset to +8 on a 19x9.5 or 5mm spacer to +13 ... 275/35/19 in the rear... buying them with 285/40 and 255/40 but taking them off because tires are mis matched and I have a brand new set of stock size nt05's

The tires will be a little strestched for now until I buy the next set but should help with fittment and me getting an idea of what will fit with and without camber adjustments.

Can you take some pics of the setup on the car? I considering a set of 18x9.5 +15 & 18x10.5 +15, just concerned about the front's being a bit too aggressive. Planning on 255/45/18 & 275/40/18 tires.

Bullitt thanks for post #10. I was wanting to save that info (offset on the stock NISMO wheels) for down the road when I can afford wheels. That way I can do some measuring too. I subscribed so don't break the link haha, who knows when I'll have the extra $$.

I don't mean to derail and I won't be cause I dont have more info but a friend at Mackin told me there will be 19x12's on the TE37 for the Z (I'm thinking rears obviously) with mean face profile Lets hope a protoype is available for showing at SEMA.

Im about to put Advan RS-D in following sizes
20 x 10 +25
20 x 10.5 +20

Wanted to know about tyres, would I have issues with running the following setup
275/30/20
305/25/20

I have this setup on the way to me.
18 X 9 ET35 275/40 front
18 X 10.5 ET15 305/35 rear
Will be lowered an inch front and rear.

anyone have photos of 19x9.5 +12 front and 19x10.5 +12 rear. i know the rear will be ok but will the fronts fit. i am dropped on H&R springs.

The front will be aggressive but it will fit. At this point I recommend camber arms for the front and like you said the rears are fine even with 305's

The rears should be fine, but that front is REALLY weak and does not match up to your rear at all. Its going to look weird, so I would not do it.

To answer this fully, your fronts are going to stick out, but your rears will be perfect. I would suggest making the offset a +18 to +20 on the front to match with the rear look.
