Just got New RE-11's...Quick Question

I forgot to ask the people at Firestone today if there is a break in period for the RE-11's. How many miles should i "break in" before going full throttle

I forgot to ask the people at Firestone today if there is a break in period for the RE-11's. How many miles should i "break in" before going full throttle through the gears if I wanted to?

Thanks in Advance for your input.

Usually about 500 mile before new tires are broken in. How do u like them? & what sizes did you get?

Takes only about 200 miles to get all the release agent off (sometimes less), but for the tires to wear into your alignment it could take 500-1000. It took mine about 750 before they surpassed the performance of the stock tires and now at 1000 this thing is glued to the road.

Some brisk driving can help a little. But sometimes it's hard to find a place for this.

It can vary quite a bit. I'd take it easy for 800 mi or so.

One aggressive 60-second auto-x run on a warm day and they're good to go!
