Would this be a good/logical setup?
Car: '09 370Z Base w/o Sports Package
Wheels: R-1 Racing - Drift Front: 19" x 8.5" (35mm offset) Rear: 19" x 9.5" (30mm offset) 1) I am a novice at all this, but according to my calculations this would move the front wheels outward by 6mm and the rear wheels inward by 6mm from the standard 19" Rays wheels (which I am comparing these wheels to even though I don't have them on my car). To adjust for the rear wheels sitting inward a little further I thought I could add maybe some 10mm or 15mm spacers in the rear ultimately moving them outward by 4mm (with 10mm spacers) or 9mm (with the 15mm spacers). I figured I would use the Ichiba spacers like Minicobra1 used in this thread 15mm Spacer installed (Rear). I am not set on getting these wheels, but I also wanted to see if my reasoning is correct as far as wheel width/offset/spacers is concerned. 2) Are spacers reliable for everyday driving? 3) Are R-1 Racing wheels a decent wheel? Thanks for the help. |

The wheels are on the "cheaper" side...I dont think that lip could take much abuse. Your reasoning however is spot on. But you might want to see a sport packaged Z in person because all tho you will be close to that setup there is still ALOT of room to go up/out/in whatever on this car. I guess it depends on how flush/agressive you want to go.
Ichiba makes good spacer kits, and you should be OK for daily driving, no problem. I was always against having to use spacers to achieve a look but truthfully 10mm really isnt a big deal. Will you be lowering the car ?

I have pretty much decided that I will be purchasing a set of Forgestar F14 wheels. I don't know which color would look good on a platinum graphite Z, though. Any opinions on the matter would be very appreciated.
Edit: What do you think about this wheel size/tire combination? Front - 19" x 9" (ET+37) 275/35/19 Rear - 19" x 10" (ET+20) 285/35/19 The three colors that I am considering are... 1) Machine black 2) Gunmetal 3) Titanium Last edited by Dave384; 04-30-2009 at 10:11 AM. |

If you decide let me know, and some pictures, I am leaning towards those also and getting a PG but no clue on what color.

I am just not into black wheels as much as I am the other colors. The closest I would get to buying a black wheel would be the Machine black F14. I have to admit that the flat black wheel on the DDMotorsport car looks very nice, though.

ok as far as size goes you need at a minimum 19 x 9 front and 19 x 10 rear. we are seeing widths up too 20 x 12 already and there is possibilities for more!!!
