What a Nightmare! Help please!
So I purchased some Volks TE-37's a while back, and they were listed as
19 x 9.5 19 x 10.5 Well they arrived here a while ago, and the rear rims had tires mounted and the Volks Sticker said 10.5, the front rims had no Volks Sticker. Today I went to go and mount them on the car and my wheel shop told me all the wheels are 10.5. So basically what are my options? When I asked if I can run 19 X 10.5 on the front the shop said it could be done without rubbing but would look horrible. Does anyone have any suggestions? If anyone wants to trade 2 Volks Black TE 37 19 x 10.5 for 2 Volks Black TE 37 19 x 9.5 let me know? |
umm...do they look different? Are you sure the shop didnt just make a mistake? did someone actually measure the wheel?
|
has to be a mistake. go to the shop and measure them yourself!
Take pictures and let us see them all lined up! |
if you want to see if all the wheels are the same size then just lay them down next to each other...the 9.5s should be shorter
and you'll have to fit them on the car because they may be 10.5s all around, but difference offsets...if they are then the fitment should be on point running 10.5 all around wont necessarily look bad...it depends on the fitment more than anything |
uhmm.. you would be able to tell quite easily if a wheel is 9.5 vs 10.5... also by the size of the tires on each wheel. i

perfectly honest - i never even bothered to look at the wheel sizes when i checked them. i only inspected them to see if they had the telltale marks of fake wheels or not. sorry O_o;;

When the wheels arrived the rear 2 wheels had tires mounted, the fronts didn't so I didn't really inspect them. I left them in their boxes, and saw they were all in great shape so left them boxed until winter was over so I could mount them. They were removed from their boxes at the shop and when I went in today they measured the wheels in front of me and showed me they were indeed all 10.5 How can I find out the offsets? |
well at this point, take a rear wheel (which should laready be setup) and then put it on the front and see how you like the fitment.
if you dont, call up who you got them from and make them fix the problem. The fact that you havnt already called them up means that perhaps you made a mistake with ordering them? and it wasnt a mistake with the company that filled the order for you? |

Who would have thought the wheels sizes where not what where listed..... |
he bought them from a craiglist ad that listed them as 19x9.5 and 19x10.5.
damn dude, i feel pretty bad ><' i don't even have the guy's phone # in my cell anymore. salvage job - mount the PC'd ones, and sell the ones that have all the stickers and stuff intact. use the funds to buy 9.5s... |

I had a forum member check them out to make sure they were real which they are, but I didn't even think to ask to make sure the sizes where accurate. I have no recourse with the seller at this point. Maybe I should just post 2 up for sale and order a couple 19 x 9.5's in the meantime.....:shakes head: |

ok. Do you know if they are the same offsets? Cus again, i would put them on and see. |
