Make my wheels perfect

I have 20x 9.5 and 20x10.5 both 18 offset coming.

How will these fit? Will I need to drop it to get induced camber for the fronts?

Should I need spacers of anything?

well do you have a drop right now? measure the amount of distance your wheels have now to be flush with the fender, convert inches to mm then plug in here Wheel Offset Calculator

No drop now, wheels are on there way. Just planning ahead.

yea i understand but im assuming you have wheels on the car now. if you measure how many mm it would take to make it flush for instance on my stock sport rays the fronts with my drop my wheels needed to be pushed out by about and inch. so i added a 25mm spacer and now they sit flush essentially making my 19x9 +47 into 19x9+22. but i am dropped an inch and a half. so you just need to do the math to see what you need to do.

I believe we are discussing two separate things. You're referring to measuring to make flush. I'm asking if these will fit properly (no rubbing, proper stagger, etc.) which is why I asked if I needed to lower it and get some induced camber.

I was unclear, my bad.

my bad lol do you have sport brakes? as it sits the rims will clear the sport brakes you shouldn't have an issue there. the fronts do sit almost 1.4 inches further out though so your front tires could rub depending on the tire specs, camber can cure this. but i believe our front camber is non adjustable with out a drop ( feel free to correct me ) and your rears should fit no problem they will still be a little sunk in and shouldn't have an issue depending on tire specs on rubbing or scraping.

Yah I'm worried about the front... Im having a hard time finding anyone in searches with smiler fitment that isn't lowered.

I'm thinking I'll need to drop it and maybe add a spacer in the rear just to clean up the look since the front will be far out.

iceman21_23 03-18-2011 11:11 PM

well what are your tire specs for the front? I'm almost certain you'll rub though

TBOX 03-18-2011 11:15 PM

245-35-20 front
315-25-20 rear

9.5" width and +18mm offset is aggressive for no drop and stock camber. They will stick out beyond the fenders, which will cause potential rubbing issues, as well as not the most ideal aesthetically. It is also aggressive paired with 10.5 +18 rear...the fronts will stick out disproportionately compared to the rear.

I can think of a couple of solutions (but don't recommend #2):
1) get 20x9.5 +27 to +32 offset wheels for the front.
2) get a SPC front camber kit...to adjust front camber at will to MAKE a wheels fit. Like I said, I don't recommend this unless you are going to lower your vehicle and need to bring front camber back to spec, or if you need to alter the front camber to achieve a certain handling characteristic.

you are far from rubbing, i have 20x10 +10 255/30 front and 20x11 -5 305/25 rear with eibach spring drop about 1" and no rub at all

That's because you have induced negative camber from lowering and I bet your wheels are nicely tucked. OP's at stock height and does not have additional negative camber. I'm lowered by 0.75" up front and had -1.6 camber before adjustment. I can estimate yours is at around -2.2 or so?

no im at -1.75, didnt have time to take picture of my new rims yet, but i got 25mm spacers front and rear with stock sport ray running 255/35/19 and 305/30/19 and im still about 2-3mm from rubbing. (check out my album pictures)
