I'm lost too.. This is not ups . Did they open the wheels and scratch the chrome? Did they open the wheels and drag them across the concrete? Did they open the wheels and leave a god awful spray on the finish? Did they open the wheels try to fix the finish and fail? Did they package the wheels horribly so they can be damaged during shipping? Seriously a ups issue??

If it was UPS I believe it. They suck!!!!! I've ordered lots of part in the last few months and every(luckily very few) UPS box came beat to hell. Every FedEx box.... Perfect!! I've notice that with UPS that our packages makes about half a dozen stops or more. Thus causing it to go threw many abusive non caring workers. With FedEx they never make stops. Always seems to be a straight shot.

That damage has got to have happened outside of the box. Whether on the shipping end, or the receiving end, we can't say for sure.

I agree. UPS has a horrible track record with me and my family business. Fedex has been almost perfect.

and I've had the exact opposite experience. Z1 sent me some Stillen intakes to powdercoat last week, and even though I was home, working in the garage and making a lot of noise, fedex left a noone at home signature required sticker on my door and didn't deliver. They do that all the time to me.

I've dealt with the delivery crap with both companies. It's more driver dependent than anything else. I had a "driver could not gain access to apartment building" notation left online, when I didn't even live in an apartment...

For me its been pretty good with either FedEx or UPS... in my apartment complex if I'm not home (which is usually the case cause every package gets delivered between 8-10am when I'm not home. But they leave a note on my door and the office takes the package, I just go there and pick it up.

However, with USPS, they won't do that. They leave me a note and I have to go all the way to the post office to pick it up. And it's not the one that's right down the street No it's the one 2 towns over. Go figure...

See... I never understood this. Fed Ex claims you have to sign for anything worth over $500. Everything I order is over $500. But no one is ever here and they still leave it. Thank God.

this is my theory. Most people ship through a fedex kinko's or UPS store. I think fedex has a policy of having their employees put adult signature required on every shipment they can, because they charge a dollar or two more. I always tell my customers to not require a signature, and they tell me after fedex didn't deliver that they specified no signature required, yet they still do.

Plus, what is the deal with having a Fedex driver, Fedex ground driver and Fedex home delivery driver?

For the most part, my ground and home drivers are awesome and know to just scribble my name on the slip and leave it, but when I get the odd fill in driver, it sucks.

For the guy complaining about the post office, you can also fill out a form that will allow your carrier to leave your packages. My carrier told me about it, but they couldn't find the form, so I just wrote a letter to my postmaster authorizing the carrier to sign for me, and now I never miss a USPS deliver.

As for my UPS drivers, I have about 3 or 4 of them, because my place is kind of between routes, but they all take very good care of me. Probably because they work directly for UPS and not independent contractors like Fedex, and I do all my shipping through UPS.
