Very badly repaired by the look of it. The brandy new wheels on the Z usually have the tiny blue dot, although it can potentially be removed by the detailer during prep.

It was typically right near the rim edge.

yah, it marks the heavy (or light) point of the wheel so that they can match mount the tires (minimze weights).

I just asked the previous owner if the wheels were ever damaged and he said no.

Replacing the wheel no questions asked.

Definitely wax the wheels, helps keep the brake dust off. I don't think a defect like that can really happen on a forged wheel so I would remain suspicious about what the previous owner did.

I mean she ordered the wheel. I signed a form and she said I was signing for $0.00.

I've never taken any car in for a repair under warranty, so I could be confused on how its going to work.

We never discussed pricing which also leads me to believe its being repaired under warranty.

Definitely a warranty issues. Wow, that looks terrible.

Wax didn't cause that, but given dealer excuses for all types of mechanical failures... I'd say that's par for the course.

Let us know how it turns out.

Very interested to hear if they take proper care of you, because that wheel looks horrendous. Signing for $0.00 is def a good sign though. What did they say when they took a look at it?

She called me today to let me know the wheel arrived and whenever I wanted to come in they would put it on for me.

If this ends up being as easy as it seems I may buy that extended warranty.
