Wheel weight - sport rays vs the world
One of the main criteria buying replacement wheels for my sports is weight.
In my search however I am finding a very limited selection of 19" wheels that are equal or lighter than the stock wheels. So far I've found te37 and it's sl variant, and the ce28n I'd love to hear some input on some other great choices that will give my car a hot new look but also maintain it's current performance. Also how do you folks feel about slight increases in rolling weight on performance. If I went to another forged multi piece design like the sf challenge which is a couple lbs heavier, do you feel I will experience a large effect? Please share your experience. |
Weds SA55M, TSW nurbs... maybe you can find RPF1's?
also find lighter weight tires... RE050A's are heavy. |
btw, the yoisho! factor of my SA55M with Conti DW vs stock 19's with RE050A is huge.
when i pickup the SA55M's with Conit's i say "yoisho" when i pickup the stock 19's with RE050A i say "oisyo!" when i pickup the SSR19's 3pc wheels with RE050PP's i say "yoikorasho!! " as you can see, this is a huge difference in gross weight. :icon17: |
waste of money. you might as well buy some real tires and call it a day. a light wheel and tire combo is not going to give you more grip than a set of r comps or re11
|
why do you need r-compounds on your prius? :D
