Bridgestone Tires
So I went on the tireplus website and found a few tires I'm interested in.
For RE760s I'm looking at just under $1,000 all four. For RE050s I'm looking at around $1,200 all four. This is including mounted, balanced, disposal, tpms, etc. The other route is for me to just order Hankook V12s and have them put on somewhere else. I can get the Hankook V12s for 800 shipped plus fees. What do you guys think? Oh and I'm in Florida driving mostly city. THANKS! |

I haven't had a problem with the stock re050a potenzas yet. I've driven them on the Tail of the Dragon, thru Florida rain, numerous 1/4 mile passes (1.8 & 1.9 launches). I just wish they were cheaper and/or didn't burn up after 15k miles. Maybe a Little quieter too but theres worse out there.

If you're not going to track the car, the Hankooks are perfect for daily driving. If you're looking for something super sticky, then I'd get Bridgestone RE-11s. They cost a bit more than the RE050As, but I don't know why you'd ever buy the RE050As over them aside from $100 being a deal breaker for RE-11s.

It's funny you say that spearfish. I have a set of RE11 rears sitting in my closet.

I just put the RE-11s on the car today and I've driven a whopping 10 miles . All I can say at this point is there is a LOT more road noise than with my 225 width Blizzaks. However, I'd say the noise is on par with the OEM RE050As. I'll post a better review after a couple weeks and my first track day with them on April 3. They look gnarly though!
