Continental ExtremeContact DW

It's time for new tires and I've been wanting to try these out, but I can't seem to find them anywhere in stock in the OEM sizes or 265/35/19, 285/35/19 (which is my preference). It seems they're on national backorder. That being said, could I run a 275/35/19 front and 285/35/19 rear or is that going to cause problems? It looks like they have the 275 in stock at Tire Rack. I don't track the car, just a DD.

Thanks!!

my arm dyno said much ligher vs RE050A when i picked them up the other day...

will see how they stick later on. i have a set mounted on SA55M's.

just a quick follow up... first impression at maybe 100miles... not bad at all, cant tell how great yet because im still breaking them in and temps are low.

so far compared to the RE050A's they are softer and more comfortable. they are quieter than the RE050's too... for my driving where roads are mostly straight i think these will do fine. it doesn't have the sharpness the RE050A's do. in that respect i think im going to get the RE050A PP's next time... or if S04's come in our size i'll look at those too. :)

will keep you posted.

I can vouch for these tires. I had them on my previous car. very good all season performance tires. They definately will reduce road noise. Only issue i found was the side walls were bit soft, and hard turning wasn't as good as Potenza's.

For daily driving, good buy.

Conti Contact DW tires

I just had 4 tires installed and have driven approx. 50 miles. Like others have said; these tires are noticeably quieter than the stock Bridgestone RE050 that came with the sport package. The Conti DW's track well over bumps, uneven roads. These tires are on by Z that I used as my daily driven car. Another plus is that the trend rating is 340 which may last longer than the stock Bridgestones.

I had 4 stock size DWs installed this morning. I noticed the sidewalls are rounded. Is is possible that the rounded sidewalls are the reason that they feel less stiff?

Had chance to run theses in the rain today. No issues on the hiway at hi speed nor in town through the puddles.

i think it's the softer sidewalls that contributes to the rounded shape. at least they look wider than the RE050A's from the back even with the factory sizes. :D

yah, i too test drove these DW's in a downpour in my Z a few months ago and it did very well. i have to mention that i ran the same condition in my G35C which is running the new Bridgestone S04's (275/35/19, 245/35/19). the S04's are even better in the wet than the DW's. S04's look great from the side but from the back looks kinda narrow.

a few of my friends have got DW's now and love them. as for the sizes and how they fit, i'll let someone who knows report in. i will say they were noticably quieter than the RE050's and rode a tad better imo. one of them just tracked his car this weekend and reported great grip and control. i'd say they are a win win all around, especially for the price

i tracked on mine the first session.

they were quite good with no issues. The Ad08's were definitely better, but the dw's were pretty damn good too.

yah, im 99% sure these tires are made at the old General plant in the USA so no need to pay the stupid JPY currency exchange premium + supporting manfuacturing in the USA is also a big
