The cost out the door including mounting & balancing, rebuilding the TPMS sensors, recycling fee, tax and a 4 wheel alignment (with a 3 year guarantee if I want to come in and have it checked and realigned periodically) was $1645. The tires alone were $1384. I checked Tire Rack and by the time you add $60 to ship 4 tires to whatever shop is going to install them you are going to be at $1313. I don't begrudge a moderate profit to the shop and they did an excellent job, didn't scratch the rims, inflated them to the correct pressure, and hand torqued the lug nuts to 80 ft. lbs as is correct. I don't know how one poster came up with an $855 cost but I'll bet he won't be able to actually buy a set at that price.
