On my last set of tires for my old WRX, I bought some Kumho's because they were cheap ($100/tire) and they tested out #1 in a comparison test by Tire Rack. I figured they must be pretty good if TR says they are. Well, they sucked ***. I had one blow out on me after a couple of months, and neither the installer or Kumho would give me a new tire...heck, Kumho never even responded to my emails. On top of that, they wore really bad. Even though I had (-) toe with my suspension setup, they wore unevenly much more quickly than all my previous sets of tires. So, never again will I purchase Kumho tires. I have had Michelins are both cars and trucks and they gave me great performance and decent wear on my cars, and awesome wear on my trucks. So I'm going with what I know....that Michelin tires are some of the best. |

PSS update- April install~ 4K miles road & track (HPDE 2/3 three track days)
Sport Rays - kept Stock sizes- figure Nissan put some thought into it and I was happy how they worked for me Daily driver- a little quiter than Potenza (subjective), great great wet traction- really loves the wet, dry would say same as Potenza. Per spec they are ~ 4-5 Lbs lighter each over Potenza ea Track- did 7-8 track days on Potenza- always consistent, very confident, did get a little greasy and could definately feel the slide into a session. PSS- solid/ consistent, feel good, stick well- no greasy ( did a 40 minute sesion at NJMP this weekend 95F) tires performed great- could really push. Tread wear - suppose to be more than Potenza but maybe just a little more- I am not thinking they will last all that much longer than the Potenza Others may like want other tires based on how they drive and what goals but for me these worked great |

I bought my 2009 3 months ago. The previous owner had replaced the OEM Bridges in the rear with Super Sports. Still had the Bridges on the front and they were very noisy with the Sport package. Just replaced fronts with the NEW Super Sports ( see photos ) and the difference is amazing. Much quieter, better handling and 30,000 miles warranty. A bit pricey, cost me $800 installed but worth every penny.

I am still breaking mine in, but I notice how responsive they are. I think a little bit more so than the Potenza's.

Hey guys thinking of going with the SS for my new wheels..
size are as follows: 19x9.5et22 and 19x10.5et12... I wanted to go 265/35/19 F + 285/35/19 R, but I believe the SS's dont come in 265/35 so I might have to go with 255/35 or 265/30... but then it also turn out that they're not available in 285/35... its either 295/30 or 275/35 for rear...... So help me out guys whats the best combo 255/35F + 275/35 R or 265/350F + 295/30 or dare I say it.... 275/30or 35 F + 305 / 30 R!!! All opinions greatly appreciated.... Thanks...

Too late for you now but in my opinion just put the SS's on the OEM Rays. I have the new SS's on my 275/40/19's in back and on the 245/40/19's up front. No rubbing problems and no rooster tails. Anything else just doesn't make sense. Phenomenal handling, amazing traction and so much quieter than the original Bridges. The original forged Rays are terrific. Why mess with them. Spend your money on a 3m ceramic window film. Incredible stuff.

Just took them out for a cruise today and spent 9 hours throwing them in the curves. I couldn't get the VDC light to come on once lol And there was no understeer problems noted. I tried to take a 90* turn @ 80 and I couldn't even feel slip...
These things will stick, even if the road is dirty/rocky.
