You guys are right....I just put these Michelins on yesterday.

On my last set of tires for my old WRX, I bought some Kumho's because they were cheap ($100/tire) and they tested out #1 in a comparison test by Tire Rack. I figured they must be pretty good if TR says they are. Well, they sucked ***. I had one blow out on me after a couple of months, and neither the installer or Kumho would give me a new tire...heck, Kumho never even responded to my emails. On top of that, they wore really bad. Even though I had (-) toe with my suspension setup, they wore unevenly much more quickly than all my previous sets of tires. So, never again will I purchase Kumho tires.

I have had Michelins are both cars and trucks and they gave me great performance and decent wear on my cars, and awesome wear on my trucks. So I'm going with what I know....that Michelin tires are some of the best.

Going to try the conti ext dw's this summer. The main benefit might be how light weight they seem to be vs RE050A's. They seem to stick just as well as stock from the reviews and quieter. Will find out.

After much internal mental debate and research, I am going for the Pilot Super Sport next month (when they are avaialble). I will post a review.

I watched a preliminary review of the Super Sport tires on a manner of super cars and the results seemed to be very good. I would probably go with RE-11s personally but it depends on the pricing of the Super Sports (which I'm certain won't be cheap).

I am getting the PSS for $1,330 plus a few bucks for shipping. Mount and balance is free in one of my son's shops. The RE-11 or Pole Position were my second choices and I think the price difference was small (like around 100 bucks).

I don't know if this is the perfect choice -- there probably isn't one because everyone drives their cars differently and such. I just think that the probable better longevity and probable good to excellent performance, why not Super Sports?

You can't go wrong with any Michelin...had them on my truck as well as my old car...best tires I've owned.

I bought my 2009 3 months ago. The previous owner had replaced the OEM Bridges in the rear with Super Sports. Still had the Bridges on the front and they were very noisy with the Sport package. Just replaced fronts with the NEW Super Sports ( see photos ) and the difference is amazing. Much quieter, better handling and 30,000 miles warranty. A bit pricey, cost me $800 installed but worth every penny.

I am still breaking mine in, but I notice how responsive they are. I think a little bit more so than the Potenza's.
