Maintenance Tires
So.. last night I was driving back to Pensacola, from New Orleans. I notice the maintenance tires warning come on. Can anyone tell me what this means? My first thought was that it was car telling me that my tires are super gone, because I have 46k miles on them. But than again, I hint alot of pot holes and bumps... because they are pretty much unavoidable in N.O. Hope what I wrote makes enough sense for you guys to help me out. I have not slept since Thursday night and I am going to do so NOW. Hope when I wake up, I have some answers and not flames. Thanks

370Z Owners Manual

Go to the Maint settings from the buttons on the cluster gauge, and reset the tire milage indicator. Looks like a warning that tires may need to be checked for wear. Set it to a higher number to remove the warning. Or it could be a bad tpms sensor due to pot hole damage? which a dealer can either reset it or a auto shop with the code reader. let us know which one is it. The owners manual covers the maint settings.
Thanks for diagram Jim :) |
:iagree: what trip said. This happened to me not too long ago. Services tech said the maintenance trip should be increased for it to disappear. And dont believe when people say your "tires needs to be rotated", thats complete bull.

Yah I remember seeing this screen while scrolling through the menu while trying to figure out how to reset the oil and oil filter counter.

Mine just turned on last week, I've had the car since 2011 and I've never seen it pop up before. I have all 4 new tires though I did take my coilovers off and replace with my stock springs. Maybe I tipped the sensor, I shouldn't need new tires at all.
