Nissan 370Z Forum

Wheel opinions please!

You can always be a set of used wheels...... Check craigslist, ebay, forum posts, etc. I see TE37s go up for sale every so often.

Another example: I just sold a set of 18" GT-C's in Mercury Silver with centre caps for $1000.

The fact that the wheel is as flat as a frying pan.

To change to those from a Base wheel or stock Sport wheel IMO would be a downgrade.

Simply put... they are ugly and the sizes are really weak. 19x8.5 is smaller than the stock Sport wheel... What size tire are you going to run? A 225?

Fair enough. I guess that is why the would go on my car not anyone else.

TSW recommends the 8.5 due to the offset. They said they will sit flush and mount the stock tire no problem.

The TSW's would look nice too. If you could get a 19x9 +32 or 19x9.5 +26 for the front and 19x10.5 +16, that would fit quite well for a non-lowered 370Z and push the wheels a little more outward than stock (without sticking out).

The wheels in the picture look flat because the model they used was probably for a car with lots of (+) offset or perhaps from a FWD car.

Where did you end up ordering at? Which offsets did you end up getting? Looking forward to the pics.

Ordered them from KC Trends in Overland Park, KS. I have bought several sets of wheels from them. Went with 19x8.5 +20 up front and 19x10.5 +27 in back.

I personally appreciate when someone takes a car and does mod work that looks clean and flows well, regardless of whether or not they use the best parts. If all you can afford is a Scion tC and some cheap parts, so be it. At least that person will take pride in what they are able to do. Too many people bankroll cars because of the status it confers on them. A true enthusiast is able to appreciate another's passion regardless of whether or not they have the best gear. I see idiots all the time in $100,000 sports cars who can't drive, who don't know anything about the car, and who only bought it to look cool. The fun comes in the passion for cars in general not in the fact that you can afford something.

A great example it my cuz. Hes totally LOADED. has a lambo LP-560, C-63 AMG, a raptor, a dually, an Escalade.. Ask him ANYTHING about any of his cars and he couldnt tell you.

Then you have the people who actually love their cars and could answer anything about them. Like my 95 firebird formula. I could answer almost anything about 93-97 firebirds and camaros bc i loved my car. (and had it apart every weekend bc it broke lol) Still learing the 370 world but i still love my car. I may not be able to put $5k rims and a 3k susp on it. but you always make due with what you have and never let people tell u what to do. take everything people say with a grain of salt. thats the end of my rant lol

To each his own.
