Road Noise

Hello,

This is my first sports car. I really enjoy driving the car but noticed the harsh road noise when driving on different surfaces in my area. I initially bought some sound deadening material and this help reduce some of the noise. I'm now thinking about a tire change to reduce some more of the cabin noise. I need some help with maybe changing my tires. Right now they have Yokohama Sport tires. I have read that Continental DW tires are good or Hankook v12s. Do any of you have any advise to change the tires to a more quiet ride. I know this is a z and not a G37. I may have made a mistake for the type of ride I wanted to get but it's to late to go back now.

The V12 is a quieter tire than the RE050

Take a good look at Continental Extreme Contact DW. I would have got them if they had my sizes in the country....Settled for Hankook.

Tire rack shows them lighter by 2lbs vs. most other and rated very good on grip and road noise. They are German tires that come OEM on many Porshe and BMW cars.

I broke in the tires so let my car loose alittle bit.. These DW stick pretty well even around 40F...although waaaay out of summer tire range. Their sidewalls don't look that great (too round for my taste) but im liking these tires. :D

my next set of tires:
Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08

Been searching tire threads and this one looks like the current discussion on tires.

So would these fair better than the RE050 Pole Position in Cali climate?

Christian feel free to chime in, as you are in the same region as me.

Does anybody have any experience with the comparison between Continental DW and DWS tires? From all the feeback and reviews that I have read these tires give us the quietest and most comfortable ride.
