Nice to see another yellow Z being modded... Lookin' great! What's next?

Junior370z 01-25-2011 11:44 PM

Oh snap! Another chicane yellow brother hehe! Looking good man! H&R spring drop the Z pretty low. How's the ride?

genki370z 01-26-2011 12:04 AM

i love how your ride came out, whats so funny is that varrstoen says that running a +22 with a 5mm spacer in the front will not clear BBK....obviously it looks like you dont have a problem with that lol ;)

i think the car looks great. im a little weirded out about removing genuine rays wheels to put on replica rays wheels, but we all know that having stock wheels kinda sucks.. i would also take replica wheels over stock. I think you should have used a wider front tire. I sorta feel like you didnt take full advantage of how much of a performance upgrade you could have while doing wheels/tires as if you had selected more aggressive tire sizes.

but either way, she looks cool.

Black out the headlights and maybe a roof overlay then hopefully start saving for a supercharger.

Actually i was wrong, the car was lowered when i bought it and i spaced it when i wrote that. It is lowered on Eibach springs. they are not very low at all and the ride is very nice.

It all depends on the tolerances of the car and the wheel. cars are built and there are a certain level of tolerance allowed and im sure it's the same with the wheel so it's a hit and miss thing. it did fit but i probably could barley fit a piece of paper between the wheel and the caliper and that kinda scares me so i ground down some of the caliper. I didnt really want to do anything to the wheel for integrity reasons.

If anything i would get a 6 or 7mm spacer and everything should be just fine, a close fit still im sure but you shouldnt have to modify anything. well you would have to change the wheel studs with anything more then a 5mm spacer. im kinda on the fence about using the longer studs with the 5mm spacer because of how much thread im getting on the lug nut is borderline.

Kevin the set up looks good. I see that you are in Austin. You will have to come out to some of the cars & coffee meet that we have. Anyway, very nice.

Looks sick! I really like the yellow stripe on the wheels.

Paul_S 01-26-2011 03:20 PM

I love it :)

I'm thinking of doing something very similar to mine. It's good to see someone else try it first!!!

Not a huge fan of the yellow line... but the fitment looks good.

+1

thanks, i wasnt sure about it. i asked a bunch of friends and we couldnt decide so i said f it and just tried it on one wheel. i really like it. the wheels look good without it but it was just to dark, they didnt really catch your eye. with the line there it lets you see the wheel more and you can see how big the wheel is. im really happy with it.

cheshirecat 01-27-2011 09:36 AM

I think the stock wheels look better, but I like the yellow stripe.

Chris_1 01-27-2011 11:09 AM

I keep looking at your car and it looks great, BUT like you said you were going to do. The headlights stick out SOOOOOO much now, b/c you have like this nice black and yellow theme and man will it look sexy when you black out the headlights.
