Default Different TPMS on base and sport?

Hey guys,

Quick question. I tried searching the forums and couldnt find an answer.

My understanding was that the TPMS sensors are all the same in the 370z's, regardless of sport or base or touring packages..

Is this not true? I bought a sport package rims+tires combo (with TPMS) for my 2009 base Z and apparently the nissan tech is saying that they cant re-register/re-link the new tpms to my car? Seemed odd.

Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks.

My 2010 sport were different from 2009 I believe there was an updated set but as far as base to sport/touring I don't think there is a different part number.

Yea the light is on. I have a 2009 base. The tpms I have are part of a 2010 sports pkg coupe. I guess there is the answer. Looks like I need to find a set of 2009's to trade now sigh =P.

Are there any other options, other than just leaving the light on haha

Just drive it with the lamp on and swap sensors when tires are done. Its not worth risking dismount/mounting damage and marks by the tireshop.
