so i wanna do a red theme.

as the title states i wanna do a red theme with my car. my car is platinum graphite(go figure its not a red or black color lol) i was wanting to get the volk te37 time attack rims as u know they have the black and red theme going on there that would look pretty good on the car(note: i am kinda iffy on the red pinstripe on the outter part of the rims, might take it off or i might leave it on cant make up my mind) ok my dilemma is that i found out that the time attacks are indeed discontinued and i looked all over the web and couldnt find none. but i do have one of my buddies in pensacola who has a set of the volk te37 seibon edition rims he has for his 350z. he said he would give me the rims for 2500 bucks the specs are alittle different at 19 x 9.5 +22, 19 x 10.5 +22, and unlike the time attacks the seibon editions are gunmetal grey as i posted a picture of them.....what do you guys think?? 2500 is pretty cheap for volks and they look pretty damn good but i dunno if the gunmetal grey rims will look good with the platinum graphite.:tiphat:

Depending on the condition this sounds like a fair price.

Keep in mind that you can purchase a set of TE's and have the stripe added later if you find a better deal.

yeah he showed me pics and theres no curb rashes or nothing. it looks perfect from the pics he took.

I love the wheels. Maybe someone can photoshop them on to see how the dark greys blend.

I think itll look good, what else do you have done to the car? Also spacers will be a must.

The Seibon finish should look great on a PG.

I think the GM would be close enough to the PG that they would match, but not so close as to blend in to the car. You want the wheels to be the accent feature from a side profile, and the slight color variation will accomplish that for you. Then when you start incorporating more pieces into the car it will come together for you. Especially if you start using some Seibon CF pieces.

GL on your project. Looking forward to photo updates.

ive not seen that gunmetal but at times 'gunmetal' has like this yellowish dark greenish hue and it doesnt work well with grayscale cars. it has that 'close but not perfect look' sometimes. i'd have to see the wheel in person.

silver, hyper silver hyper black, anthrasite, graphite, black, those work well with grayscale colors i think. bronze and gunmetals are tricky.

I wonder if after the red pin stripe it would either minimize that effect, or provide a good differenciating line that would separate the two into their own areas and allow that color difference to be the accent feature...? hmm

so far i have cnt test pipes, H&R springs and agency power exhaust. to go along with the "red theme" that i want besides these rims, is that im gonna also get the akebono BBK but the calipers are gonna be the red from the 40th anniversary edition, and also im gonna remove the front and rear nissan emblems then put down some red adhesive vinyl and put back the nissan emblems(new ones of course)...im thinking also thinking red bride seats but that may be abit much. lol. :happydance:

haha yeah i know what you mean, i plan on adding a few more "RED" here n there, like im going to be upgrading to akebonos with 40th edition caliper red, and the nissan emblems will have red adhesive vinyl(it looks really good, somebody on this forum done it to his black 370 and he told me how to do it)-iffy with red bride seats tho lol. but yeah pic update for sure, im gonna wait till after march to get all this done because 1) should have tax money and 2) spending spring break in HAWAII! lol-so im gonna need some funds for that :icon17:
