Default 20x10 front wheel offset?

I'm upgrading from the 19" sports and want to add some more tire under the front. It seems that the consensus around here is that a 9.5" wide rim with a 255 tire sits about perfect with a +22 offset in the front. That puts the face of the rim out +31mm from the stock fitment using a wheel offset calculator. So... If I use a 10" wide wheel instead, with a +35 offset, it will put the face of the rim out 25mm from stock and the rear space at 1mm less than stock. Using a 275/30 front tire instead of a 255 adds 20mm to the overall width, but with the 0.5" greater rim width (10" vs 9.5") it adds up to only 4mm wider per side. Therefore, if I'm 25mm out and +4mm on the tire, that equals 29mm total out on the face. That is almost exactly the preferred 31mm stated before. If my math's correct, why do so many people say a 275 tire is tough to fit up front? I definitely can't lower the car due to the roads around here, and I don't want to change camber settings just to fit something that "looks" good. I still want this thing to handle great like it was meant to. That's primarily why I want to run a more square 275 front / 285 rear tire setup. I'm planning a 20X10.5 +15 rear rim to match the front. Are my offset calculations correct before I order the new wheels?
