Default 7.5" wide rims for snow tires

I actually didn't plan to get snow tires for my Z since I know it will never snow here with the purchase of a snowblower and snow tires for my Toyota. Yet, I came across a set of snow tires for a decent price. Rather than mounting and dismounting tires, I figure to buy some cheap wheels for the snows. It seems the cheapest wheels I can find are 18x7.5. Has anyone tried to run 7.5" wheel on the car? If I can clear the brakes and fit the tire on the rim? It should be all set right. The offset is very similar to stock, but it is so much narrower that I doubt it will rub anyway. What do you guys think?

Depends on how the wheel is built, but if the offset is their you should be fine. The width truthfully isnt a huge deal, it shouldnt rub, but I think break clearance would be your worry.
