Tires to be balanced?
Just bought a set of 245/45/18 blizzak lm-22s. After I get them mounted, should I also have them balanced? Im trying to save as much $$ as possible. They are slightly used tires

Mounting and balancing go hand in hand. And if you could find a place that only mounted them, you'd be very sorry for not having them balanced afterwards. So yes, they should be balanced.

I don't know of any shops that would mount your tires without balancing them.
You are going to love the Blizzaks, btw. I was kind of frustrated about spending $1600 this week on a winter wheel/tire setup but after my first drive in the snow I realized how that was some of the best money I have ever spent. |
dang... my dd's blizzak WS60 tire set with the stolen hubcap look was $530 shipped from TR. :D WS60 > LM22 in snow. :p
|
I would actually be interested to see how your car drove after mounting w/o balancing. I'm assuming it would be quite a rough ride.

And yeah, I can price a winter wheel/tire set on Tirerack for my sisters 2002 V6 Mustang for only $592. Makes me so mad. :icon17: |
