Michelin X-ice Xi2

Anyone else tried these out on the 370z? I am still waiting to get mine and was wondering if anyone else had any tips regarding using them in the winter.

Even just tips for driving the 370z in snow/ice/winter with winter tires.

Thanks

Okay, have put on the Xi2s and driven around for a hour and a half to test them out. At highway speeds they are not noticeably louder than the stock tires. I can actually drive up hill on the way to work faster than 10 mph. The tires seem good but obviously thanks to rear wheel drive, I have to drive MUCH slower than in my friends STI.

I have these on right now as my winter tires. So far so good. I haven't driven in deep snow yet so cannot really comment on their performance in deep snow.

From everything I've read they are very good in deeper snow and on ice compared to other snow tires. They are in the "studless ice & snow" category so they give up dry road handling over the "performance winter" tire for better snow and ice traction. In Minnesota I'm sure that's a good thing.

They are only T rated (118mph) and have soft sidewalls so I probably wouldn't want to take them anywhere beyond highway speeds otherwise you'll probably squirm around a bit. Good luck with them and enjoy driving your Z year-round! I just had my winter wheels and tires installed on my Mustang and am very pleased with the snow performance!
