New ZIEX-912s
Changed my rear 275/35/19 tyres at just over 19k km, trying out Falken ZIEX-912s. After 1000km I can safely say these tyres are not as grippy as the stock Bridgestones, these are noticeably slippery and quite nervous at speed, even more so in the wet. To be honest I cant recommend this model, a friend of mine using the same size on his car has experienced the same attributes so it's not just me.
Its suprising though cos in the Falken website, they dont make 275/35/19s for the 912s. |

That's what I used to run on my 350 and I really liked them. They aren't going to be as grippy as the stock Bridgestones because they are an all weather tire, not a high performance tire. I always got great traction in the rain. They were good in snow when I had a front wheel drive car, but the 350 didn't like them in the real slick conditions.
I also didn't realize that they made a 275 width. That's why I quit looking at them, but may have to check locally to see if they can find them. |
