People with forgestar F14

I notice that a lot of you went with this combo or something really similar.

19x9 +24
19x11 +24

255/35/19
305/30/19
(Hankook V12)

How does this setup feel vs stock 19?

I'm about to get a set.

Thanks. :tiphat:

I had a set of piano black installed last night. The wheels look great, and the tires feel even better. However, my wheels were upgraded from the stock 18's (which doesn't truly satisfy your question regarding 19's) but I thought it would be good information to share.

19x9 +20
19x11 +20

245/40ZR -19 Continental ExtremeContact DWS
285/35ZR -19 Continental ExtremeContact DWS

Stock suspension.

Forgestar FTW!

dAvenue 12-17-2010 04:21 PM

Not yet, but I will share the goodness after I take some pictures of it tomorrow.

Is forgestar still delivering quality products? You should check with Rick at Status Motorwork (VIP Status). He might have something similar to forgestar F14. I saw one there look similar to F14 but I've already gotten the Volks.

ncheung85 12-17-2010 10:06 PM

Zero, sell me your TE and than you can get those "F14" :rofl2:.

Well I'm going to finalize my order at amplified tomorrow.

So are you getting at Lou's. He always gets you a great price on Volk.

ncheung85 12-19-2010 03:45 PM

Yup at lou's. I would have gone with TE37.... but didn't want my car to end up looking like yours. Don't get me wrong your car looks nice. I just wanted something different.

It's so hard to choose only one set of wheels. Took me a while to finally decide on a set.

I also have a white 370 with forgestar rims... the hankook v12s feels much smoother than stock tires. You won't regret either

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by smooth?

^When are the rims coming?

Are coming out for dim sum/photoshoot meet on 12/31? Check the socal section for the details.

ncheung85 12-24-2010 01:32 AM

I'm guessing mid january. It's going to take a bit longer because I'm having them powder coated.

As for the 31 meet, I won't be able to make it(work) unless you guys make it a late night dim sum meet. lol

I love your choice of offset with those widths. I have the +24 and would do +20 if I ever ordered a set. I love your choice of tires too....that is what brand I am getting next.

I bought my car with the wheels though. With the 11" rears a 305/30 looks great...only downside is that its smaller than stock diameter. I wish I could get some 305/35R19.

I think +24 is pretty flush with stock height and +20 keeps you flush (at the top of the fender) with a drop. The only caveat would be if you run a front camber kit...that would push the top of a +24 on a 9" wheel to be flush with the fender while dropped.

I parked next to an AMG 6.3 yesterday that had some Gunmetal 19" F14s. It looked nice.

Thanks, Nismofo.

I don't foresee a drop in my future, though. I live in Plano, and the neighborhood I live in has massive dips and road humps. I have to slow down to a crawl just to clear them without scuffing the front lip on stock suspension. :ugh2:

Awesome we're neighbors. I'd love to see the piano black in person. Do you go to the cars & coffee meet at classic BMW every month? Its Saturday morning...not sure if I'm goiing yet. But its the best car meet in DFW.

dAvenue 01-01-2011 12:54 PM

I would like to check it out some time. What time does it begin?

People arrive around 7:30am and it starts dying out by 10:3am. With the cold weather I expect less cars. Its always the FIRST Saturday every month.

chuckd05 01-10-2011 12:45 AM

Where is the best spot to order these wheels ?

dAvenue 01-10-2011 09:34 AM

I ordered mine from ModBargains.com. I received them within 5 - 6 weeks, which is a decent turnaround for custom wheels IMO.

boomboom 01-21-2011 11:48 PM

Aren't these available for like $1200 other places? also I don't see piano black as an color option
