I like it too, but my main concern is the level of difficulty getting the masking just right so it looks good in the final product. Too many soft curves where the spokes join the lip...

Looks like I am not the only one that likes the idea of a matched trim ring....

You actually notice it on the lip face of that Vossen wheel. Won't on the barrel behind the rotors.

Well, the wheels came back pretty much in factory finish... The paint process for Hyper Silver is very finicky and needs a special black underlay. Therefore the paint shop could only do the factory finish and THEN apply any kind of special colour. Having said that, the finish on the wheels is better than factory at the moment!

Bottomline is I took them as factory finish from the paint shop while I decide which way to go. I am thinking that I will probably go this route in the end...

It looks like the easiest way to get the look and the masking is not too complex to achieve the desired result.

I might even do it myself as the paint shop will prepare my factory colour for me in a spray can for easy DIY application. Being as it is the inside of the wheels, I think I can pull this off myself without too much trouble. Having said that, I am more than a little OCD so the job will be done to the highest level possible!

Your the one who has to be happy w/ it so thats all that matters. Personally if I had a "freebie" like your getting and having to go thru all the trouble to get the wheels redone, I would want something more noticible and unique, but if your looking for subtle, I think the one youve chosen is just that.

Hope it turns out the way you want.

Thanks! I am a big fan of the "sleeper" look.
