Can the rear be supported by using a jack on the differential? (I use ramps for the front, but want to change the differential fluid as well as the transmission

Can the rear be supported by using a jack on the differential? (I use ramps for the front, but want to change the differential fluid as well as the transmission fluid.) Was thinking about placing the jack under the differential, jacking up the rear and them placing jack stands under at the side rails.
