For those that have rolled their front fenders

Were you able to retain the fender liner?

I've had mine rolled twice and still have it.

Spec Jay 11-25-2010 02:12 PM

have any pics of it by any chance? i wanna run 255/35's but it wont work with my +12 offset without rolling

Jamaica 11-25-2010 02:22 PM

You won't rub unless your running a negative offset. Had that tire size you wanted and no rubbing. I have a -5 offset in the front and rolled my fenders and came out good. With plus 12 you should be good.

yeah but i only have a 9.5 in the front so theres not as much strech, tires have already rubbed off the plastic tabs on fender liner with a 245/35/19 with -2.2 camber

Jamaica 11-25-2010 04:28 PM

are you running springs or coilovers?

Spec Jay 11-25-2010 05:13 PM

bc br

You might have to raise it a bit. But rubbing the inner linear isn't bad. When my car was slammed it was rubbin on my amuse bumper clip and it broke so I had to modify it.

Spec Jay 11-26-2010 03:31 AM

thats what i was afraid of, i like how low it is but during mountain runs the front like will scrape just from the sway. but im thinking hotchkis sways willl cure that.

jpmotor 11-26-2010 04:25 AM

you can definitely roll the front fender and still keep the fender liner

wide wheels + wide tires = roll your fenders, no brainer

so jealous of you guys having "pre-rolled" rear fender...

Jamaica 11-26-2010 09:29 AM

Kinda crazy how the rear fender come pre rolled and the front doesn't. I adjusted my dampering and it helped my on runs.

I was able to keep the fender liner. Just shave off the bumper tab and relocate it to the spot right above it. Take a box cutter to the fender liner and cut off the portion on the top that touches the fender. Problem solved. ;)

Have any pictures showing exactly how you relocated it? I'm looking at the FSM and I can certainly understand shaving off the outside bumper tab, but I have no idea what you could have done to keep it.

dirTy_shoeZ 12-28-2010 12:10 PM

just dont touch it when you roll your fenders and youll be fine :)

sarmyth 12-30-2010 11:40 AM

My issue isn't rubbing the fender, but rather rubbing the liner right where the bump-out is for the front bumper mount. I'm throwing on an oil cooler next weekend so we'll see if I can't get some pictures up once I decide what I'm going to do about it.

I'm running nismo shocks/springs so my ride height is fixed save a pair of spring rubbers.

Germanguy 11-22-2012 04:20 PM

why would you go thru all the hassle of rolling ur fenders.. sell ur 25mm spacer. put your 20 in the rear. buy a 15mm for your front. problem solved...

No hassle to roll my tech will do it;)...i dont like the look of 15mm up front. 20/25mm is just right for me.

There are three plastic clips above the tire in the inside the fender, which hold the fender liner. I think the best choice is to roll the fender from the green arrow to the other green arrow.

If you need hardcore rolling. Roll the three clips and remove the screw which holds the fender with the front bumper (I marked them in red, too).
