For those that have rolled their front fenders
Were you able to retain the fender liner?

have any pics of it by any chance? i wanna run 255/35's but it wont work with my +12 offset without rolling
|
You won't rub unless your running a negative offset. Had that tire size you wanted and no rubbing. I have a -5 offset in the front and rolled my fenders and came out good. With plus 12 you should be good.

are you running springs or coilovers?

You might have to raise it a bit. But rubbing the inner linear isn't bad. When my car was slammed it was rubbin on my amuse bumper clip and it broke so I had to modify it.
|
thats what i was afraid of, i like how low it is but during mountain runs the front like will scrape just from the sway. but im thinking hotchkis sways willl cure that.
|
you can definitely roll the front fender and still keep the fender liner
wide wheels + wide tires = roll your fenders, no brainer so jealous of you guys having "pre-rolled" rear fender... |
Kinda crazy how the rear fender come pre rolled and the front doesn't. I adjusted my dampering and it helped my on runs.
|
I was able to keep the fender liner. Just shave off the bumper tab and relocate it to the spot right above it. Take a box cutter to the fender liner and cut off the portion on the top that touches the fender. Problem solved. ;)

just dont touch it when you roll your fenders and youll be fine :)

My issue isn't rubbing the fender, but rather rubbing the liner right where the bump-out is for the front bumper mount. I'm throwing on an oil cooler next weekend so we'll see if I can't get some pictures up once I decide what I'm going to do about it.
I'm running nismo shocks/springs so my ride height is fixed save a pair of spring rubbers. |
pictures?

Sub'd...i so need to roll mine in the spring. I am not willing to raise my Z...the front clips hav already torn off.

There are three plastic clips above the tire in the inside the fender, which hold the fender liner. I think the best choice is to roll the fender from the green arrow to the other green arrow.
If you need hardcore rolling. Roll the three clips and remove the screw which holds the fender with the front bumper (I marked them in red, too). http://www7.pic-upload.de/23.11.12/kbip2x91d2z1.jpg http://www10.pic-upload.de/23.11.12/pn74o7t59hvz.jpg http://www10.pic-upload.de/23.11.12/6lztxtnhiepz.jpg |
