I have had my Z since October 4 and I noticed when I went to wash it for the first time that I had a lot of black crap (tar like) on the inside of the rim. After looking at all for wheels I saw that they all had it and I put two and two together and figured Nissan was careless when applying the coating. It took forever to get it all off (full removal of all wheels) and the downside there are light spots of me having to scrub too hard with a SPONGE to get it all.
I was wondering if anyone else had/has this problem. I think I am going to write Nissan and try to have them pay to re-coat the rims for the light spots. I don't care what you use to wipe that crap off but no matter how soft or how much care I put into getting it all off the light spots in the factory paint on the rims could not have been avoided. Thanks, Shane |
