Default Slashed Tire Sidewall

Hi guys,

One of my front tires was apparently somehow slightly slashed on the outer sidewall, I don't remember hitting anything but it doesn't look done on purpose either... The thing is, it's not completely useless because I can still put air in and the tire will hold it for a while but I need to put air back in every couple of days because it obviously loses pressure.

I know I need to replace the tire because it's dangerous to be driving around like this. My question is, can I simply replace that one tire that got damaged or should I replace both front tires at the same time..??

I ask because of different right/left tire wear and so on....

Appreciate your input... Thanks!
