Slashed Tire Sidewall
Hi guys,
One of my front tires was apparently somehow slightly slashed on the outer sidewall, I don't remember hitting anything but it doesn't look done on purpose either... The thing is, it's not completely useless because I can still put air in and the tire will hold it for a while but I need to put air back in every couple of days because it obviously loses pressure. I know I need to replace the tire because it's dangerous to be driving around like this. My question is, can I simply replace that one tire that got damaged or should I replace both front tires at the same time..?? I ask because of different right/left tire wear and so on.... Appreciate your input... Thanks!

If you still have a lot of tread life left in the good tire just replace the damaged one.

If the tire is worn down more than half way then repair the front pair.

Damn haters!!
You could certainly just replace one tire with the same brand. If it's another brand with a different tread pattern just replace both front tires. Unfortunately, someone did the same thing to me but I was able to pickup a good set of Potenzas to replace both rear tires. |
